Small Stories

And here we are, my first set of four happy mind maps complete!

They have taken me on a journey through joy, finding my way, back into painting. Sometimes it can be more about letting go. All in the present of not thinking, all in the moment of creating - just in making or doing. Idea’s come and go. I liked the idea of swimming pools, mirroring my daily start, catching the repetition of movement within breast stroke as I swim a lap and then another, up to 50. (That’s if my thoughts haven’t taken me too far away, loosing my count, I probably get an extra few in too) It is during this time I often find my ideas, and I tap into a type of flow - I access a cleaning station of sort’s as I work through ideas, question, possibilities among the mundane of the every day in my mind. The pool idea is there in the fragments but otherwise gone, instead I see out like a mind map (a cleaning / sorting station) in finding Joy!

In our life’s journey, sometimes we go the wrong way, we hit a dead end, but here the map gives you all possibilities, in darkness we find light and just in front of failure is success. Our journey in life and in art is the destination, it’s in our truth, our process and being.
